Political Science as a disincline need not to be understood in isolation from other branches of knowledge but in integration with philosophy, history, economics, sociology, psychology, cybernetics so on and so forth. The discipline primarily studies the relationship between state and individual, organs and forms of government, elections, rights, duties, justice, freedom, law, war, peace, power, authority, inter-state relations and so on. The subject has tremendous scope in the contemporary world. It addresses the core issue of employment in the field of education, international relations like diplomacy, governance, psephology, civil society, law, comparative politics and so on. The department welcomes all the students who opt political science as one of the subjects.
