The college central library has a long back history of more than sixty five years. It had its beginning when the college was established in the year 1950. Since then the library is catering the needs of wide spectrum of users and continuously expanding its horizons in terms of collection, services and operations. This library is housed in a newly constructed building comprising of three spacious sections. It has the privilege of being the largest library in the district and second in the division after the library of University of Kashmir with a rich collection of more than sixty three thousand text books, reference books, magazines and periodicals. In addition to issue and return of documents/books, the library offers various other services like reference service, current awareness service, etc. Reprographic facility, browsing centre and Wi-Fi facility is also made available for the stakeholders.
The library has a spacious reading room housed in the old block where newspapers, magazines and career related books are kept for reading. In addition to the general collection the library has a good collection of rare books dating back to nineteenth and twentieth century. The library has recently established a "Best Seller" book corner. To keep abreast with the latest developments in information and communication technologies the library is fully automated and all the circulation operations are carried out using KOHA software. For easy access and retrieval offline OPAC is available in the college library and also on the college website.
The Central Library has 71418 books including the Reference and Text books to cater the information needs of about 4000 users. The library services are provided by the library staff including Chief Librarian, Two Library Assistants, one Library bearer, 03 LFEs.

Adapting to new technological developments, the library has redefined its
services and procedures through the installation of RFID Technology, including
Library Staff Station, Library Security Gate, Library Self Check-in/Check-out
Kiosk Station, RFID Tags and Institutional Labels, Smart Cards, Access Control
Gate and Book Drop Kiosk.

Users must carry their valid Library ID card while accessing the Central Library.

UG, PG Students and Research Scholars shall be permitted to retain two/three books respectively at a time for a maximum period of 15 days. If a student fails to return the same within prescribed time period, overdue charges/fine of Rs. 1/- per day/per book shall be recoverable.

Teaching Faculty shall be permitted to borrow 10 books at a time for a period of 1 month. In case of failure to return the same within the prescribed time, they shall be required to deposit Rs. 2/- per day/per book.

All users are required to record their visit in the Visitor’s Register each time they use the Library.

Users must maintain silence and discipline in the library to ensure a conducive environment for reading and study

The library resources/books are meant for collective use. Users are directed no to tamper, tear, mutilate or damage the resource/contents.

Users should report lost Library ID cards or library materials to the library immediately.
